300 new jobs at Deloitte to bolster digital transformation consultancyRecruitment for 100 new jobs at Deloitte begins immediately, with theremainder to be filled over the course of the next year.Deloitte will create 300 “high-quality jobs in technology, strategy andbusiness operations” in Ireland, said Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise,Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar, TD, at a jobs announcement today (16April).Deloitte currently employs more than 3,000 people in Ireland across locationsin Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Galway. It also has a Northern Irish office inBelfast.Recruitment for one-third of these new jobs will commence immediately, whilethe company plans to have completed hiring for all new roles within the coming12 months.Jobs available at the professional services firm will include opportunities indigital, cloud, systems engineering, customer design, future of work, digitalfinance, digital supply chain, business operations, data analytics andcognitive technologies.The majority of the roles will be in consulting, while the company will alsobe recruiting for audit and tax specialists in the consumer and financialservices industries.## Drive for digital transformationDeloitte Ireland CEO Harry Goddard said the creation of new jobs at thecompany comes in response to increased demand for business transformationadvisory services coming from both Irish and international clients. Heanticipates this demand will grow even further as businesses need to adaptonce again in a post-Covid landscape.“Our business adapted rapidly and effectively to the changes in themarketplace brought about by the pandemic and our focus has been on supportingour clients as they too transformed their organisations to deal with theimmediate needs of a vastly different operating environment,” he said.“Now, they recognise the need to drive their businesses forward to succeed inthe long term, be it building resilience to withstand further disruption oraddressing changes to operating models and ways of working, for example.”Along with the jobs announcement, Deloitte also revealed that it will anofficial partner to the Olympic Federation of Ireland as part of a four-yeardeal. This will see the brand sponsor athletes from Team Ireland in therescheduled Olympic Games set for Tokyo this summer, and up to the nextOlympics to be held in Paris in 2024.
